Laura & Max had the coolest Rock n Roll wedding ever! One of the many things I really like about them is their edge. They did it their way and had a ton of fun in the process. The Wedding Ceremony was held at The Hudson Theater at the Millennium Hotel in New York City. Afterwards we headed to Times Square and Bryant Park for a Creative Session. Then it was back to The Hudson Theater for quite the party. We had the opportunity to work with Photographer Laurie Rhodes who was great. Makeup was provided by Alexa Prisco, owner of the Glam Fairy. Many people know her as Alexa, star of The Style Network’s hit show Jerseylicious. Props go out to DJ Moe Choi (Choimatic) who rocked the house and is just very cool. So many interesting things to mention about this wedding I don’t know where to start. Laura’s Vera Wang Dress was unbelievable. Just stunning. Max looked pretty good too (check out his sneaks). At a certain point in the Reception Max took the stage with his guitar and sang a beautiful song just for Laura (you’ll see part of that in the next clip so stay tuned). All in all it was one of the best weddings we’ve ever filmed. So what do you do when you have that good a wedding and want to take it to yet a higher level? Can someone say Old San Juan, Puerto Rico! We hit the airport with a Tropical Creative Shoot as our agenda (I think they did that ziplining thing as well, lol). We started at the Caribe Hilton in Old San Juan. Then we visited Fort San Felipe Del Morro, a sixteenth century Fort that began construction in 1539 by King Charles V of Spain. We also filmed at Escambron Beach as well as other surrounding areas in Old San Juan. For anyone considering a destination wedding in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico I have three simple words for you, Just Do It (you can also call us if you like :)). That brings us to part three. We headed back to lower Manhattan to a very unique abandoned office building. DJ Moe Choi was in the zone once again. He’s the best DJ I’ve ever seen (or heard), hands down. Rocco Chilelli, owner of Camelot Photography Studios was the icing on the cake (no pun intended). He captured some amazing stills of this one of a kind Creative Shoot that included dust, graffiti, and an amazing sequence of Laura throwing her dress of the fifth story balcony. We tried to take the concept of Trashing the Dress to a higher level (pun INTENDED). I think it goes to show what’s possible when you have the right mix of Bride & Groom along with some great synergy from some very talented artists. Let us know what you think. Cheers! david [DMS].
